Lyricstraining.com: The Perfect Classroom Tool to Connect with Students.  

This website offers teachers all over the world the opportunity to bond with students by using their favorite songs with services offered in 13 languages.

This platform turns popular songs into a lesson on spelling, listening, and vocabulary.

First, you will have to select a song. This could be based on the students' request, your own choice or just by genre. (Don’t forget that the lyrics training website does not automatically sensor songs.)

Then, choose one of the four game modes. The modes are based on how many gaps the song features. For beginners, it’s only 29 while “experts” are asked to fill in 286 gaps! After this, you’re ready to start and you have two options: Appoint a single student to fill in the word. Ask the students to sing the song and the missing words while you type them in.

The use of films in education.

The use of films or publicitary spots can be a good tool to practice listening and speaking. We have proposed the following activity:  In this activity the students will have to make a dub from Spanish to English from the film’s scene. The purpose of this activity is to highlight the differences language can make on scenes from different countries (changing the way a sentence is told… etc.) and to strengthen oral communication in English, as well as having to have a huge understanding of the language to come across with the correct translation.
