Opinion of Audacity

After the activity of Audacity , we thought of introducing this app in our didactic unit. The majority of us did not use it until now. Elena was the only one that used it in some projects in High School, that is why she suggests the idea of using apps such as Audacity and Filmora in order to work the digital competence and the knowledge about a foreign language. However, after some problems in how we can adapt the use of these platforms for students of last year in Primary Education, we decided only to do material with them, like a podcast and a special video of welcoming, but we abandoned the idea of using them in class with our students.

Opinion of Bee Bots

By seeing this activity (and more of them) and by the map we have elaborated in class, we found pretty interesting these robots. They introduce the opportunity that children acquire new contents in an easier way and they Train the digital competence by designing learning experiences that focus on the digital technologies curriculum and also integrate literacy and mathematical concepts.

Information of BEE BOTS

BEE-BOTS                 Bee-Bots are programmable floor robots that have been purpose-built for use with Early Phase and Primary students. They can introduce junior primary students to computational thinking and coding. It is amusing the versatility of these amazing robots enables teachers to design learning experiences that focus on the digital technologies curriculum and also integrate literacy and mathematical concepts.                     The Bee-Bot is a yellow bee-shaped robot that can remember a sequence of up to 40 commands. Users can direct it to move forwards and backwards in 15 cm increments, and to turn 90 degrees left and right using the four directional buttons, and has go, pause and delete buttons. After each command is performed, the Bee-Bot beeps and blinks, which allows students to count its movements and follow the sequ...

Opinion of PLE

CONCEPT OF PERSONAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT (PLE):      The PLE is the set of tools, sources of information, connections and activities that each person uses in order to learn new contents and achieve all the competences. The PLE is also a space where the user can create, share and check information, in this way, each person can build their own learning network. Learning by the PLE allows the student to guide their own learning, connecting information among different sources of information (is the same that happens of the Informal Learning).      The PLE is where we can obtain the information, the process to understand the information is: first, you read the articles or the post that you get in the Internet (by Kahoot, Prado, google scholar, Genially,…) then you choose the information that you find interesting by a process of reflection (reconfiguration and critical thinking to question the information you have read) and where you can meet other people(Pe...

Information of Personal Learning Environment (PLE)

Experts in the field affirm that the personal learning environment of each person is what helps to understand how we learn using the technologies we have at our disposal.   We must bear in mind that it is a learning approach, so it is a new way of understanding how you learn. Due to his personal connotations, the apprentice is the one who has the power, sets his own objectives, chooses his teachers, decides the tools with which he will learn and delimits the contents he will work.      We consider this option, once the work on our PLE has been done, since after a brief presentation on what it consists of and how we learn thanks to it, students could benefit, carrying out this activity in a group, but we are aware of the complexity of applying this in Primary Education, as it requires that the teacher is present to inform what sources are reliable to investigate the information, that will be organized and shared. Due to the c...
