Methodology

Imagen
Methodology is defined by the joint activities which are developed in class. It refers to the method we use to complete the teaching-learning process. As for the method we will be using:  Heuristic methods: Project Based-Learning. It follows the next methodological principles:  1. Guaranteeing the construction of meaningful learning because of its practical application to real life as well as its adequacy to the students' needs and interests. 2. Promoting the student as the main character in his/her learning by developing skills which enable him/her to build up his/her own knowledge and help him/her to learn how to learn in an autonomous way. 3.  Foster the students' creativity with activities encouraging reflection, research, decision-making, etc.  4. E-RUBRIC

Imagen
The instrument we will be using to measure the learning of our students will be an E-rubric       The Learning Analytics Enriched Rubric (LA e-Rubric) is an advanced granding method used for criteria-based assessment. As a rubric, It consists of a set of criteria. For each criterion, several descriptive levels are provided. A numerical grade is assigned to each of these levels.      An enriched rubric contains some criteria and related granding levels that are associated to data from the analysis of learners' interaction and learning behavior in a Moodle course, such as number of post messages, times of accesing learning material, assignments grades so on.       Using learning analytics from log data that concern collaborative interactions, past grading performance and inquiries of course resources, the LA e-Rubric can automatically calculate the score of the various levels per criterion. The total rubric score is calculated as a...

The use of films in education.

Imagen
The use of films or publicitary spots can be a good tool to practice listening and speaking. We have proposed the following activity:  In this activity the students will have to make a dub from Spanish to English from the film’s scene. The purpose of this activity is to highlight the differences language can make on scenes from different countries (changing the way a sentence is told… etc.) and to strengthen oral communication in English, as well as having to have a huge understanding of the language to come across with the correct translation. For that activity we are going to use a Peppa Pig´s chapter and a Dora la exploradora's chapter, which is an A1-A2 level. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E6pFYqL_es   https://youtu.be/2CHIcsJ360M
